Psalm of the Week
For You will not abandon my soul to Hades, Nor allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
Psalm 15:10

The icon above depicts the victory of Christ over the devil, sin, and death itself. Our God did not abandon us to our own poverty and destruction but instead emptied Himself to become like us in every way but sin. He showed us the way of life and trampled down death by death. He overcame the world so that we might participate in His life and do the same.
“Let us offer ourselves, the possession most precious to God, and most fitting; let us give back to the Image what is made after the Image. Let us recognize our Dignity; let us honour our Archetype; let us know the power of the Mystery, and for what Christ died.” -St. Gregory the Theologian
We Help our Community!

Serving
Above: Little things like providing a selection of foods for our community to choose from make a big difference. It provides a grocery store experience and allows our clients to have more control over the food they receive.
Below: We know that not everyone in need comes to us. Jesus set an example for us to go out and find the lost. After the food distribution ends at the pantry, we go for a walk in the community and offer water, snacks, hygiene kits, and Bibles.

SNL (Serve-N-Learn)

After the service, it is important to reflect on the day’s activities. We discussed the impact of going out and meeting the homeless, listening to their stories, and sharing food and hygiene kits with them. We heard from them that these small acts of kindness bring them immense hope, that they are not alone, and that they are loved. This is the compassion of Christ that works in and through us all. May the feast of His resurrection remind us that God will never leave us or forsake us.
